BAUET Welfare Club donates for flood victims

The BAUET Welfare Club has donated an amount of Tk. 51,000/- to the Advisor’s Relief and Welfare Fund to aid in the support and rehabilitation of flood victims.

On Wednesday, September 11, the club’s president and Lecturer of the Physics Department, Md. Barkat Ullah, handed over the donation to the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman.

Also present during the handover were the university’s Treasurer, Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc (Retd.), Registrar, Lieutenant Colonel K F A Sohel (Retd.), Dean of the Faculty of Science and Humanities, Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Deputy Registrar (Admin), Deputy Registrar (Academic), and members of the Welfare Club.

It is noted that on 29 August 2024, all teachers, officers, and staff of the university donated a day’s salary an amount of Tk. 1,77,797/- to the Advisor’s Relief and Welfare Fund.
