Dr. Mst. Minara Khatun, Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), has successfully completed the Capstone Course 2025/2 under the National Defence College’s (NDC) strategic leadership programme.
She received her certificate from Chief of Army Staff General Waker Uz Zaman and NDC Commandant Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque during a ceremony at Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka.
Speaking on Saturday (16 August), Dr. Minara termed the course a milestone in her professional career. “The rigorous training and high-level discussions broadened my perspective on national security, strategic leadership, and global cooperation. This recognition is not only a privilege but also a motivation to serve my country with greater dedication,” she remarked.
The three-week intensive course, conducted from July 13 to July 31, focused on strengthening senior leaders’ knowledge of national security, strategic planning, and collaboration at both national and international levels. Participants engaged in case studies, simulations, and group activities designed to foster strong cross-sectoral networks and address emerging global challenges.
Organizers commended the participants for encouraging inclusive, reform-driven leadership to reinforce national institutions in the face of global transitions, natural disasters, and other pressing challenges.
