The first meeting of the reconstituted Quality Assurance Committee of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh Open University was held on Monday at the Vice Chancellor’s meeting hall room in Gazipur under the chairmanship of honorable Vice Chancellor of BAU, Prof. Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam.
Important: With the permission of the Vice President, Member secretary of the QAC Committee and Additional Director of QAC Khan Md. Manwar Islam presented the report and evaluation of 14 activities carried out in the fiscal year 2024-2025. He also presented 28 action plans for the professional development of BAU teaching staff and employees and formulation of age-appropriate education plans for the financial year 2025-2026, and all the members present expressed their views.
The meeting was attended by honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam said in his speech, “BAUB is an exceptional university. Bringing dynamism to the education and administrative functions of this university and ensuring quality standards is one of our major challenges. I sincerely believe that BAUB will play an important role in meeting the IQAC challenge. I am hopeful that with their relentless efforts, BAUB will be able to achieve higher standards in its educational programs and contribute more to the development of BAUB as an institution. The current IQAC team has proven their work capacity within a few days of assuming responsibility. He added, “Not only the seminar, “IQAC will continue its work program on how to bring about quality work dynamics in schools by organizing coordination meetings with various schools and departments of BAU, not limited to organizing training and workshops, with the aim of identifying and resolving various problems.” The meeting was attended by the Treasurer, Registrar, Deans of various schools, Director of IQAC, Director of Finance and Accounts Department and other senior teachers.
