To enhance fire safety awareness and disaster readiness, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) organized a fire safety training session for its officials, staff, and students on Thursday.
The practical training took place at 12 noon in the courtyard of the university’s Central Library and was conducted under the leadership of Acting Librarian Agriculturist Borhan Uddin. It featured live demonstrations and hands-on experience in using fire extinguishers.
Personnel from the Fire Service and Civil Defence facilitated the session, educating attendees on various types of fire extinguishers, their proper use, and the correct procedures to follow during fire emergencies. The aim was to equip participants with the necessary skills to respond swiftly and efficiently in actual fire situations.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Shaef Ullah, Associate Student Affairs Adviser, also attended the session and observed the drill along with other university staff.
