On behalf of Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of BNP in Sylhet, cash was given to Suhel Ahmed, a photojournalist of the online portal Ajker Sylhet and camera person of NTV Europe, for the construction of a house, and a wheelchair was given to his disabled daughter. Barrister MA Salam, the central international affairs secretary of BNP and Tarique Rahman’s advisor, presented this gift.
Participating in this gift-giving ceremony organized at the Sylhet Press Club on Wednesday afternoon, Barrister M A Salam said, Tarique Rahman always stands by the side of the oppressed and helpless people. He extends his support to any corner of the country where he receives news of any helpless people. Tarique Rahman is especially providing overall support to those who were killed or injured in the mass movement of the students after August 5. At the same time, Mr. Tarique Rahman’s support continues for his journalist friends. As part of that, Tarique Rahman’s gift was given to his journalist friend Suhel from Sylhet.
