The Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Gazipur has been honored with the “National Environment Award 2024” in the category of Environmental Research and Innovation in Technology.
The prestigious award was presented at a grand ceremony held on 25 June 2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka, on the occasion of World Environment Day and Environment Fair 2025. BARI Director General Dr. Md. Abdullah Yousuf Akhond received the award on behalf of the organization.
The National Environment Award is presented every year by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to environmental conservation, development and awareness raising. Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) was awarded this award this time for its special role in innovation and research of environmentally friendly technologies.
