Regional Spice Research Center Gazipur of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged a field day on “breeder seed production techniques of BARI Onion-4” at Regional Spice Research Center BARI, Gazipur on Monday. 80 onion farmers (male/female) from different upazila of Gazipur district participated in this field day.
Principal Scientific Officer (Regional Spice Research Center) Dr. Md. Masudul Haque presided over the session while Director (Research) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad was present as chief guest. At this time, Former Principal Scientific Officer (Spice Research Center) and Project Director of “Strengthening Research on Spice Crops in Bangladesh Project” Dr. Shailendra Nath Mozumder was present as special guests in this Program. Senior scientists from various Division/Center of BARI were present there also. At the event, Onion farmers exchanged views on various problems, successes, and future plans of their cultivation.
