A total 320 members of Ansar and Village Defense Forces have been deployed in Baraigram Upazila of Natore for the security and smooth celebration of Durga Puja, a religious festival of the Hindu community.
On Tuesday last, from the upazila Ansar and VDP offices, their 47 pujamandas were divided into very important, important and ordinary categories and explained their responsibilities.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous, Senior Warrant Officer Golam Mostafa of Upazila Army Camp, Baraigram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Sirajul Islam, Assistant District Commandant of Ansar and Village Defense Force, Zahid Hossain, upazila Ansar and VDP officer Khaleda Akter and upazila trainer Masud Rana gave a directional speech on the duties assigned to Ansar and Village Defense Force members.
Out of 47 mandapas in the upazila, 19 are very important, 23 are important and 5 are divided into general categories. 8 members in the most important category, 6 members in the important and general category, Ansar and Village Defense Force members will be on duty.
