The 26th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Ltd. (BAPEX) for the Financial Year 2014-2015 was held on 30 December, 2015 at BAPEX Board Room, Karwan Bazar in the city.
Secretary in charge, Energy and Mineral Resources Division and Chairman BAPEX Board Nazimuddin Chowdhury presided over the meeting where all the shareholders and members of Board of Directors of the Company were present.
In its 26th Annual General Meeing the audited Financial Statements for the Financial Year 2014-2015 was placed and approved. During the year, BAPEX earned Tk. 100.61 Crore as Net Profit Before Tax and Tk. 65.40 Crore as Net Profit After Tax. Taka 313.71 Crore was deposited to the National Exchequer as Tax, SD and Vat. The Shareholders and Directors in their deliberation focused on the important role of the BAPEX in order to cope up with the growing demand for gas in the country.
In the Meeting the need for strengthening BAPEX was stressed upon and accordingly future program for overall development of the Company has been taken.
