A successful orientation program was held at Banani Club, Dhaka by Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J) Project to prepare Bangladesh’s Light Engineering Enterprises for their participation in Comex Singapore 2025, scheduled for March 13-16, 2025.
Bangladesh will be represented at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on booth no. 8403 of Hall 403 & 404, Level 4. The EC4J Project under the Ministry of Commerce financed by World Bank has taken this initiative to showcase and create market linkage opportunities of the eminent light engineering sector of Bangladesh introduced by the Meet Bangladesh Sourcing Show (MBS) at Comex Singapore 2025.
The workshop was presided over by Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Project Director of EC4J Project. While, Sheikh Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Joint Secretary, Deputy Project Director of EC4J Project graced the workshop as chief guest. Other Special guests were Md. Kamruzzaman, Component Coordinator-2, (Productivity Enhancement Program); Aminul Islam, Procurement Specialist, Md. Habibur Rahman, Financial Management Specialist and Abu Meraj Mohammad Fuad Uddin, Technical Specialist. Jabed Ahmed, Chief Consultant CEMS-Global conducted the orientation and made a PowerPoint presentation providing insights into the project along with the Meet Bangladesh Sourcing Show (MBS) to the participants.
The event was represented by producers and manufacturers of light engineering from Laxfo, Walton, Lumen, Data soft manufacturing and Triple S Electronics. K.M. Rafiul Muttakin, Lead Consultant and Nelson Shapon Biswas, Manager were present among many others from CEMS-Global.
