Nibir Adnan Nahid, a prominent award-wining international model has made Bangladesh proud by representing the country at the prestigious New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2025 Winter edition. The grand event, which featured approximately 100 models from various countries, including the United States (Texas, Los Angeles), Canada, Mexico and others showcased the latest trends in global fashion.
Nahid, bearing serial number 1611, was selected by designers and casting directors through an exclusive online process. His participation on such a grand international platform highlights the growing presence of Bangladeshi talent in the global fashion industry.
Adding to the glamour of the event, Miss Universe Victoria, Miss Universe Mexico also graced the runway, and Miss Earth hosted the show. The fashion week served as a significant platform for connection-building among industry professionals and fashion enthusiasts worldwide. Models were seen flaunting an array of outfits, from draped wool coats to supple leather dresses and flowing silk blouses. This season’s collection embraced a sophisticated yet relaxed approach to power dressing, marking a shift from recent trends of highly revealing attire.
Apart from Nahid’s remarkable presence, NYFW 2025 Winter saw captivating collections from top designers. Wes Gordon at Carolina Herrera drew inspiration from the film Being There, presenting vibrant dresses adorned with giant floral embellishments. Christian Siriano took an innovative approach, incorporating elements from the automotive industry into his designs, using sleek metallic textiles. Meanwhile, Sergio Hudson dedicated his show to victims of the Los Angeles wildfires, giving everyday wear a haute couture twist with denim pleated skirts and luxurious cashmere knits.
