Bangladesh women in Group-B of Women’s T20 WC

Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket team have been billed in Group-B of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (WC). The International Cricket Council, the highest body of world cricket reveled the fixture on Tuesday.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was scheduled to be held in Bangladesh. But due to the political situation and security concern of Bangladesh, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The students’ and the peoples’ revolution was held in Bangladesh on August 5. The T20 Women’s World Cup will be held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Dubai Cricket Stadium. But Bangladesh will have the financial rights of the tournament.

A total of ten teams splitting into two groups will take part in the gala extravaganza. Bangladesh, South Africa, England, West Indies and Scotland have been placed in Group-B, while Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have been penciled in Group-A.

Top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will move into the final. The winning team of the final will be the champions of the mega event. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held from October 3 and will come to an end on October 20. A total of 23 matches of the competition will take place in Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Dubai Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh will take on Scotland in their first Group-B match on October 3 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh will meet England in their second Group-B match on October 5 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, the Tigresses will face West Indies in their third Group-B match on October 10 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh will play against South Africa in their fourth Group-B match on October 12 at Dubai Cricket Stadium.
The first semi-final will be held on October 17, while the second semi-final will be held on October 18. The final will take place on October 20.
