Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Football team crushed Bhutan Under-16 Women’s Football team by six goals to nil in their last group match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-16 Women’s Championship at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal on Friday.
Bangladesh confirmed their final berth bagging nine points from three matches, while minnows Bhutan remained with naught playing as many outings.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat Nepal by two goals to nil in their first group match of the football competition at the same venue on March 2.
Bangladesh defeated India by 3-1 goals in their second match of the football meet at the same venue on March 5.
Meanwhile, India reached the final collecting six points from as many matches.
Tomorrow Bangladesh will take on India in the final at the same venue.
Bangladesh led the first half 3-0.
Sauravi Akanda Prity put her team ahead by a header using a long cross of her teammate Fatema Akter in the 13th minute of the play (1-0).
Fatima doubled the margin by a spectacular free-kick in the 33rd minute of the match (2-0).
After one minute, Kranuching Marma increased the tally into 3-0 by a header capitalising a corner of her teammate Fatima.
Sathi Munda got the ball on his way from a pass of her teammate Sauravi which Sauravi got from a cross of substitute Moumita and Sathi Munda made no mistake to put the ball into the blank net (4-0) just after the lemon-break.
Thuinuye Marma made it 5-0 in the 69th minute of the clash.
Sauravi sealed the fate of the match (6-0) by a solo effort in the 77th minute of the game.
