Bangladesh will play two FIFA friendly matches against Nepal.
A good number of expatriate of Bangladesh-origin footballers have been included in the Bangladesh Football squad. After that a massive attraction for football is seen by the footballers, spectators, organisers in Bangladesh. The football lovers of the country have returned to the stadiums and watched the performance of their team against the different countries of the world.
Bangladesh’s football have regained the popularity and also cut a brilliant figure in their recent matches. Besides, the Bangladesh Women’s Football team moved into the final round of AFC Women’s Asian Cup recently. It is the highest achievement for the women of Bangladeshi booters.
Bangladesh Men’s Football team made a goalless draw with India in their first match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers in Shillong on March 25. After that Bangladesh lost to Singapore by 1-2 goals in their second match of the Asian Cup Qualifiers at the National Stadium in the capital on June 10. Bangladesh tasted defeat to Singapore due to the mistake of their custodian. Besides, a forward did not urge to referee for a penalty, which Bangladesh deserved.
Hamza Chowdhury, who is a Bangladesh-origin and expatriate of England has played in the English Premier League, has been included in the Bangladesh squad. Fahamedul Islam, another expatriate has played in the Serie D of Italy, has been included in the Bangladesh squad. Shamit Shome, another expatriate has played in the Canadian Premier League, has been included in Bangladesh squad and played for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh will play against Hong Kong in their home match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers on October 9 and will play their away match on October 14.
Marking the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers, Bangladesh will play two FIFA friendly matches against Nepal at Dasharath Rangasala in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Bangladesh will take on Nepal on September 6 in the first match and will face Nepal in the second match on September 9.
Bangladesh will play one match against India, one match against Singapore and two matches against Hong Kong. If Bangladesh want to qualify for the final round of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers in Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh have to win rest of the matches.
