Bangladesh thrash Pakistan in T20i too

 After a clean sweep in three-match One Day International series, Bangladesh also thrashed touring Pakistan in the lone Twenty20 International in Dhaka on Friday.

The Tigers beat the Pakistanis by 7 wickets, first time in T20i, sweeping the one-match series.

Batting first at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur Pakistan scored 141 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Bangladesh surpassed the target in 16.2 overs losing only 3 wickets.

Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan smashed his 5th T20i half-century while Shabbir Rahman his first to make the win easy for the Tigers.

They added run partnership in the 4th wicket after Bangladesh lost third wicket in 38 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan was unbeaten on while Sabbir Rahman.

However, Bangladesh debutant opener Soumya Sarkar was run out in the 5th delivery of the innings without facing a ball. One over later, Tamim Iqbal (14) was caught by Mohammad Hafeez when the bowler was Umar Gul.

Mushfiqur was bowled by Wahab Riaz in the 4th delivery of 6th over. He scored 19 runs off 15 balls hitting 4 boundaries.

Earlier, Bangladesh young pacer Taskin Ahmed made the first strike and dismissed opener Ahmed Shehzad. Shehad was caught at long-off by skipper Mashrafe Mortaza in the last delivery of 9th over bowled by Taskin. Shehzad scored 17 runs off 31 balls.

Bangladesh debutant pacer Mustafizur Rahman tasted his first international wicket claiming Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi. Afridi was caught behind the wicket by Mushfiqur Rahim in the 4th delivery of 11th over bowled by debutant Mustafizur. The Pak skipper added only 12 runs off 9 balls.

After one over, Mushfiqur Rahim stamped Pakistan debutant Mukhtar Ahemd when the bowler was left-hand spinner Arafat Sunny. Mukhtar scored 37 runs off 30 balls hitting 5 fours and 1 six.

Haris Sohail and Mohammad Hafeez then added 49 runs off 34 balls in the 4th wicket partnership. They took the score from 77/3 (12.1 overs) to 126/4 (17.5 overs). Hafeez was lbw by Mustafizur Rahman. Hafeez scored 26 runs off 18 balls hitting 4 boundaries.

Haris Sohail was unbeaten on 30 off 24 balls hitting 1 six.

Bangladesh 19-year debutant left-hand pacer Mustafizur Rahman claimed 2 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
