Bangladesh take on Lebanon in FIFA WC Qualifiers today

Bangladesh Football team will take on Lebanon today in their away match of the FIFA World Cup (WC) Qualifiers at Doha in Qatar. The match will kick-off at 10:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live.

Bangladesh, Lebanon, Australia, Palestine are in Group-I. Australia and Palestine have qualified for the third round from this group. Bangladesh drew 1-1 with Lebanon in their home match at the Bashundhara Kings Arena recently. Besides, players of Bangladesh team are motivated as they lost to their stronger opponents Australia by two goals to nil in their home match at the same venue on Thursday last. Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a huge 7-0 defeat to favourites Australia in their away match last year.

Captain of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuyan said, ” The facilities of Qatar, practice ground and hotel are really good. Besides, there are lot of Bangladeshi here. I hope they will arrive at the stadium and will support us during the match.”

Jamal said, ” Lebanon changed three coaches within a short time. So, there will be a lacking of combination in their team. If we can take advantage we shall achieve a positive result.”

” Our target is to snatch three points. Lebanon are great challenge. We analyse the game style of Lebanon. We took part in practice sessions for couple of days. We shall try to show our outstanding performance. We believe we can earn three points from tomorrow’s match,” he added.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera said, ” We know that the weather of the morning of Qatar is very hot. But the temperature of the evening of here is not a favourable. The match will be held after the evening. So, we have taken a good preparation. As the match will be held after the evening, I think the weather of the match will not be a factor. The boys are eager to show an up to the mark display against their opponent and achieve a good result.”
