Bangladesh set to host Pakistan an additional white-ball series
Agency :
The Bangladesh Cricket team will play their final group-stage match of the Champions Trophy against Pakistan on February 27, before returning home the next day.
However, the Tigers are set to return to Pakistan at the end of May for their next overseas tour, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is as per the Future Tours Programme (FTP).
The next encounter between Bangladesh and Pakistan could come even sooner than expected.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to a proposal from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for an additional series. After Bangladesh’s scheduled tour of Sri Lanka in June-July, Pakistan is expected to visit Bangladesh in July-August for another series featuring three ODIs and three T20Is.
When asked about this potential series, BCB President Faruque Ahmed confirmed the matter from Dubai; “They have agreed to play an additional white-ball series.”
Discussions between BCB President Faruque Ahmed and PCB President Mohsin Naqvi suggested to accommodate this additional series, the PCB might reschedule an existing series within the FTP if needed.
