Bangladesh on Sunday reported five more deaths from Covid-19 while 418 people tested positive from the coronavirus in the 24 hours.
The new cases bringing the death toll to 145.
“With the new cases the tally of infections surged past 5,000,” said Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (administration) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a briefing in Dhaka.
She said that the new cases detected after testing 3,476 samples.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 5,416, according to DGHS data.
