Bangladesh Football team will face Maldives Football team today in the second FIFA International friendly match at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital. The game will kick-off at 6:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the game live from the match-venue.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to Maldives 1-0 in their first FIFA International friendly match at the same venue on November 13.
According to the latest FIFA rankings, Maldives have obtained 163rd position, while Bangladesh have taken 185th spot.
The Bangladesh Football Federation has arranged two FIFA International friendly matches between Bangladesh and Maldives to take the opportunity of the FIFA window of November.
The draw ceremony of the Asian Cup qualifiers will be held on December 9. After that the matches of Asian Cup qualifiers will be held in March, June and September in 2025. So, it is the last chance for Bangladesh to play friendly match before the Asian Cup qualifiers.
Captain of Bangladesh Football team Topu Barman said, ” Our target is to perform well in the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers. If we want to do that, we have to give our best in tomorrow’s match.
In the first match, we give our cent percent but failed. We want to finish the ending of the year with a win against Maldives.”
Maldives have been facing problems for a year. Before matches against Bangladesh, Maldives did not play any international match.
Bangladesh Football team showed a spectacular performance against Maldives Football team in the first match. But they could earn much-awaited victory against Maldives.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera said, ” I want my boys should play for the spectators and do their job appropriately. I also want that they will parform well. My boys played well but and got a good number of opportunities in the last match but they failed to execute those chances.
Though they lost to Maldives but they showed a better brand of display of football. They just failed to score against their opponent.”
