Bangladesh Kabaddi team won the five-match Kabaddi Test series 4-1 after defeating Nepal Kabaddi team by 45-27 points with three lonas on Friday in the fifth and last Kabaddi match at the Paltan Ground, which is adjacent to National Stadium. All the five matches were held at the Paltan Ground.
Bangladesh led the first half 19-15 points.
Earlier, Bangladesh confirmed their series victory (3-1) after crushing Nepal by 49-24 points in the fourth match on February 26.
Bangladesh had an auspicious start as they defeated Nepal by 53-29 points in the first match on February 22.
The Himalayan side leveled the margin after beating Bangladesh by 45-42 points in the second match on February 23.
The hosts defeated the visitors by 42-37 points in the third match on February 25.
Captain of Bangladesh Kabaddi team Mizanur Rahman was adjudged the Man of the Match in the last match and also was adjudged the Player of the Series. Captain of Napal Kabaddi team Roka Magar was adjudged the Best Raider of the Series. Roman and Nasir of Bangladesh Kabaddi team was jointly adjudged the Best Catcher of the Series.
After the concluding match, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Rezaul Maksud Jahedi distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Secretary of the National Sports Council Md Aminul Islam was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and Inspector General of Prison Brigadier General Syed Muhammad Motahar Hussain, Vice-President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Hafizur Rahman Khan were present at the prize-giving ceremony, among others.
