Bangladesh-India SAFF U-17 Champ final today

An action from the semi-final match of the SAFF Under-17 Championship between Bangladesh and Pakistan on Saturday at Changlimithang Football Stadium in Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan. Bangladesh won the match by 8-7 goals in the tie-breaker.

Bangladesh Under-17 Football team will take on India Under-17 Football team in the final of the SAFF Under-17 Championship today at Changlimithang Football Stadium in Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan. The game will kick-off at 6:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
On way to final, Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 8-7 goals in the second semi-final at the same venue on September 28. The stipulated ninety-minute match ended in a 2-2 draw.
India reached the final defeating Nepal by 4-2 goals in the first semi-final at the same venue on the same day.
Bangladesh became runners-up in the Group-A earning one point from two matches. Bangladesh and Maldives gained one point each from their two Group-A matches. But by virtue of better goal difference, Bangladesh became the runners-up in the Group-A.
India emerged the champions in the Group-A collecting six points from two matches.
Bangladesh lost lo India 1-0 in their first Group-A match at the same venue on September 20.
Bangladesh drew 1-1 with Maldives in their second Group-A match at the same venue on September 22.
India blanked Maldives 3-0 in their second Group-A match at the same venue on September 24.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-17 Football team Saiful Bari Titu said, ” India are tough side. They are better than us as their skill of technique are better than us. My boys played up to the mark against India in most of the time in their Group-A match recently. But they lost their attention just before ending of the match. Thus, they conceded defeat. The boys worked to come out from their mistakes under supervision of me. I hope we shall leave the field with a win against India in the final.”
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Under-20 Football team clinched the SAFF Under-20 Championship title recently.
