Bangladesh-India AFC Asian Cup qualifiers match today

Bangladesh National Football team will take on India National Football team in their AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Asian Cup qualifiers match today at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong of India. This is Bangladesh’s away match of the qualifiers. Bangladesh, India, Singapore and Hong Kong are in Group-C of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
The entertaining game will start at 7:30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the match venue.
Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya. Usually Shillong is a cold city but now the city is hot as hundreds of football fans gathered here. Hamza Choudhury will make his debut for Bangladesh in this city. Hamza Choudhury plays for Sheffield City Football Club in the European League of Football. Earlier, Hamza played for Leicester City Football Club in the English Premier League.
Besides, the extra attraction for the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers between Bangladesh and India as legend footballer Sunil Chhetri will play for India. Before taking part in the today’s match, Bangladesh Football squad participated in an eleven-day conditioning camp under Head Coach of Bangladesh team Javier Cabrera at Taif city in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh Football squad was scheduled to play a preparation against Sudan three. But Sudan Football team did not accept the proposal to play against Bangladesh. Thus, Bangladesh played a friendly match against a Saudi football club.
On the other hand, India played a FIFA International friendly match against Maldives in India’s soil and won the match 3-0 riding on Sunil Chhetri’s lone goal.
But Hamza Choudhury will play for Bangladesh. The spectators have not seen such kind of footballer in South Asian Region.

It may be mentioned that the Stadium has the capacity for thirty thousand spectators to watch the match at the galleries. All the tickets of the match were sold out before seven days of today’s match.

Skipper of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuyan said, ” We felt pressure but our nerve is still calm and quiet. All our teammates want to snatch three points from India match. We will be satisfied if we can earn one point.”
Bangladesh made a 1-1 draw against India in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata in 2019. Bangladesh have a 1-0 lead on the 88th minute of that match.
