Bangladesh Football team will take on Palestine Football team in their home match of the FIFA World Cup (WC) Qualifiers at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital today.
The match will kick-off at 3.:30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the match-venue.
According to the latest FIFA rankings, Bangladesh have attained the 183rd position, while war-torn Palestine have taken 97th spot.
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a 0-5 goals defeat to Palestine in their away match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Kuwait City in Kuwait on early Friday last.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera said, ” Before taking part Lebanon in our match, we suffered a 0-7 goals defeat to mighty Australia in Melbourne of Australia recently.
But we snatched a point from Lebanon. I spoke to my boys a lot of time.
We discussed with my boys plenty of time. I hope my boys will give their best effort in tomorrows match.”
Bangladesh, Australia, Palestine, Lebanon are in Group-I in FIFA World Cup (WC) Qualifiers.
Australia led the points table grabbing maximum nine points from three matches.
Palestine took the second position earning four points from three matches, while Lebanon took the third spot gaining two points from three matches.
On the other hand, Bangladesh earned one point playing three outings.
