Sports Reporter:

Bangladesh posted a 2-2 draw with Nepal in their FIFA International friendly match held at the National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

Nepal led the first half 1-0.

Rohit Chand of Nepal put his team ahead by a grounder shot in the 29th minute of the play using a superb pass from his teammate Sumit Shreshtha. Rohit got the ball at a blank place and made no mistake to find the net.

After the lemon-break, Bangladesh got their rhythm and came from behind to equalise with Nepal.

Bangladesh-origin Leicester City Football Club’s Hamza Choudhury leveled the margin by a bicycle kick. Hamaz got the ball at the Nepal’s D-box from a pass of his teammate Fahim in the first minute of the match. After three minutes, Hamza Choudhury made it 2-1 by a penalty kick. Rakib Hossain was roughly charged by a Nepalese defender. Thus, the referee awarded a penalty kick to Bangladesh. Hamza Choudhury found the net by a cool-headed spot-kick.

Bangladesh failed to keep their lead as Ananta Tamang of Nepal put the ball into the net using a corner of his teammate in the three minutes of the injury time of the play.

Bangladesh showed a better brand of football but the ill-fated local booters conceded a goal in the last minute thus they had to leave with an equal result in their match.
