Bangladesh has strongly condemned the ongoing mass killing and human rights violations by the Israeli Occupying Forces in Gaza, calling for an immediate end to military operations and urging global intervention.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced Israel’s “indiscriminate aerial bombardment” of densely populated civilian areas, accusing it of pursuing ethnic cleansing against the defenseless Palestinian population.

“Bangladesh demands Israel immediately cease all military operations, exercise maximum restraint, and abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law,” the ministry said.

The government expressed grave concern over Israel’s continued attacks following its unilateral breach of ceasefire last month, which have resulted in scores of deaths, predominantly women and children, and caused a severe humanitarian crisis by blocking aid access to Gaza.

Terming the violence a “killing spree,” the foreign ministry lamented Israel’s disregard for international appeals and urged the United Nations to take immediate and effective action for an unconditional ceasefire.

Bangladesh called for the protection of civilians and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, while reaffirming its unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement also stressed the need for a return to negotiations for lasting peace in the Middle East, urging all parties to adopt diplomacy and dialogue to end the conflict and suffering.

Bangladesh reiterated its firm stance in favor of a two-state solution grounded in international law, UN resolutions, and the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for peace, dignity, and justice.
