Bangladesh Under-17 Football team defeated Bahrain Under-17 Football team by two goals to one in their fourth Group-A match of the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers at Yongchuan Sports Centre in China on Friday.
It was Bangladesh’s fourth consecutive win. Bangladesh Under-17 Football team will face China Under-17 Football team in their last Group-A match of the AFC Under-17 Qualifiers on Sunday. If Bangladesh can beat China, the Bangladeshi youngsters will qualify the final round of AFC Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
After a barren first half, Bayezid of Bangladesh put his team ahead in the 59th minute of the play.
Manik of Bangladesh doubled the margin in the 72nd minute of the game.
Juhair Ibrahim of Bahrain reduced the margin in the 85th minute of the clash.
Bahrain got two opportunities in the injury time of the second half but Bangladesh defenders thwarted those attacks.
Bangladesh began their Group-A campaign of AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers thrashing East Timor by five goals to nil on November 22.
Bangladesh retained their winning streak crushing Brunei by eight goals to nil in their second Group-A match on November 24.
The Youngsters of Bangladesh kept their supremacy after defeating Sri Lanka by five goals to nil in their third Group-A match on November 26.
A total of 16 teams will take part in the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup. Nine teams have already confirmed their final round berth of AFC Under-17 Asian Cup. Rest of the seven teams will move into the final round after qualifying from the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.
