Bangladesh ‘A’ women thrash Lanka in 2nd T20

Bangladesh ‘A’ Women’s Cricket team thrashed Sri Lanka ‘A’ Women’s Cricket team by 104 runs in the second T20 match on Friday at P Sara Oval in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh women led the five-match T20 series 2-0.
Batting first Bangladesh women piled up a mammoth total of 164 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs and then shot out Sri Lanka women for only 60 off 16.4 overs.

Bangladesh lost their first wicket for 22 runs. Opener Dilara Akter was dismissed for nine runs.
After Dilara’s departure, Sathi Rani and Sobhana Mostary contributed together 80 runs using 68 deliveries for the second wicket partnership.

Sathi Rani hit an exact 50 using 40 deliveries with seven fours before she returned to the pavilion.
Sobhana Mostary and Nigar Sultana helped their side to score above 150 runs.
Sobhana Mostary notched up a run-a-ball 39.

Nigar Sultana remained unbeaten with 34 runs.
Malki Madara of Sri Lanka bagged a pair of wickets for 25 runs.

Openers Nethmi Poorna and Kaushini Nuthyanga were the only batters of Sri Lanka who reached the double digit figures against the superb bowling attack of Bangladesh.

Poorna made 18 runs, while Kaushini scored 11 runs.
Rabeya Khan captured four wickets in the space of four runs, while Fahima Khatun and Sultana Khatun grabbed two wickets each instead of three runs and 11 runs.

Ritu Moni and Jahanara Alam took one wicket each for three and 11 runs.
Earlier, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the first T20 on Thursday.

Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the third T20 match at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground on September 15.
The Tigresses will face the Sri Lanka in the fourth T20 match at Thurstan Ground on September 17.
Bangladesh will meet Sri Lanka in the fifth T20 match at Colts Ground on September 19.
