Bangla Tigers have signed up star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan as their icon player ahead of this year’s Abu Dhabi T10 League draft, following the inclusion of Shakib, Bangladesh’s emerging batter Towhid Hridoy also got drafted into the team.
Hridoy was selected in the 18th, and final round of the draft from supplementary category.
Two more Bangladeshi cricketers have secured their teams in the T10 League along with Hridoy. Ziaur Rahman and Shahidul Islam were signed for Northern Warriors.
Both players were selected through the draft, with this being Shahidul’s debut in the league, while Ziaur has previous experience in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
As the tournament’s global fanbase continues to grow, teams will battle it out in a thrilling 12-day competition from November 21 to December 2, culminating with the final match on UAE’s 53rd National Day at the iconic Zayed Cricket Stadium until 2028.
