Sylhet Bureau :
Sylhet is a unique land of natural beauty. In all seasons, winter and monsoon, tourists flock to all corners of Sylhet. The beauty of Sylhet is different after Cox’s Bazar. And to enjoy it, at least 8-10 thousand people gather every day in Sylhet city alone. 360 Auliyas lie here including the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and Hazrat Shahparan (R) in Sylhet. Small hills here. Tourists gather more in winters to see eye-catching tourist spots like hills, tea gardens, forest, haor, fish, winter birds, various biodiversity, Bishakandi, white stone. And around these, in the last few decades, Sylhet has gained a lot of interest in tourism-oriented business. But all the tourist spots are dead due to the strike by the opposition.
The hotels and motels of Sylhet were buzzing in the presence of tourists during the winter season. In the evening on the side of the road there was a lot of silence at the ‘Chitai Pitha’ and ‘Bhapa Pitha’ shops where the line used to be. While Sylhet’s tourism-centric businesses are booming every winter, this time it’s a different picture. Traders prepare for the arrival of winter tourists, but hopes are dashed.
