Bandhu Mohal Foundation holds eye camp

Under the slogan, “Cataract-induced blindness is not permanent; it can be cured with surgery”, a free eye camp was organised in Jaldhaka, Nilphamari, by Bandhu Mohal Foundation and the SSC ’95 batch, in the service of humanity.

The camp was formally inaugurated on Saturday, 8 November, at 11:00 am at the academic building of Jaldhaka Government Model Pilot High School by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Zaid Imrul Mozakkin.

Also present at the inauguration were Jaldhaka Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Arju Md. Sajjad Hossain, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Moniruzzaman Lablu, Managing Director, Shahiduzzaman Shahid, President of the Management Committee, Tajul Islam Master, General Secretary, Shamim Newaz, Organising Secretary, Moniruzzaman Lebu, Agriculture Secretary, Solaiman Goni Stalin, ICT Secretary, Moshfekur Rahman Mizu, and Organising Secretary Mahfuzar Rahman Belal, along with Anowarul Islam, Zahidul Islam, and many others.

Doctors Nahid Hossain and Saiful Islam provided treatment to patients who came from the municipality and various unions. Subsequently, 65 patients were taken to Rangpur for cataract surgery.
