Badsha Mia, UP Chairman and President of the UP Awami League of Kalatala under Chitalmari Upazila in Bagerhat district was arrested by the police. At Monday (January 13) mid night (at about 12 pm) a police squad led S M Shahadat Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Chitalmari PS arrested the UP Chairman from Nalua Bazar under the Upazila.
In the following morning at 11 am he was sent to the court at Bagerhat district headquarters. The Police Officer told, a number of cases and terrorism complaints are pending with the PS against the UP Chairman and president of the UP Awami League Md. Badsha Mia. He was sent to the court in connection with an extortion case lodged with the PS by one Shamim as the plaintiff on 4 December 2024.
