Entertainment Report :
Actress Azmeri Haque Badhan was active in the anti-discrimination movement from the
beginning, expressing solidarity with the students.
She took to the streets to speak out for the students. Because of this, Badhan became a victim of trolls on social media.
She was silent for a long time, but recently the actress has become vocal again. She posted on Facebook demanding early elections. And now she is being trolled because of that post.
The actress expressed her anger after a section of the post’s comments section called her
an agent of the Indian intelligence agency ‘RAW’.
She made a new post clarifying her position on the issue on Sunday morning.
Badhan said that several incidents occurred before and after the July mass uprising.
The actress wrote on Facebook, “I’m back as an ‘agent for ‘RAW’. In 2021, I was a proud agent for ‘RAW’. At that time, I acted in the Bollywood movie ‘Khufiya’, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, with my favourite actress Tabu. But then the situation changed.
I couldn’t even join the movie’s premiere. Why? The Indian High Commission rejected my visa. Not once, but five times.”
As for the reason for the Indian visa being cancelled, Badhan wrote, “I had two interviews
to get an Indian visa. Then it seemed like they were very worried about one of my posts. A picture with VP Noor at the US Embassy’s programme! Then I shared the matter with some high-ranking friends in my country and got a one-month single entry visa. I have learned from two influential sources that an important actress may be behind my visa problems.
Who knows! It’s not my business. Because of this, I have missed out on some big opportunities in Bollywood and Kolkata. Although I am waiting now, my journey
does not end here!” Badhan also wrote, “During the July uprising, I was told that
I was a CIA agent and had taken money from USAID, and was responsible for the uprising. Then they said I was a Jamaat worker because I shared a picture of a Jamaat leader on my profile.
Then I was told that I was a member of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. Then last night I was again called an agent of the Indian intelligence agency ‘RAW’.”
Finally, Badhan wrote, “What kind of society do we live in?
No one here loves their country selflessly and thinks no one else does either.”
