Sports Journalist of The New Nation Kamal Hossain Bablu was elected President of the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Community (BSJC), while Sports Journalist of The Daily Inqilab Shafiqul Islam Shamim was elected General Secretary of the BSJC on Tuesday. They were elected for the term of 2025-2027.
Senior Sports Journalist of The Daily Inqilab Zahed Hossain Khokon was elected for the post of Senior Vice-President. The election was held at the office room of Dhaka Metropolis Football Federation in National Stadium.
The other elected office bearers are: Abdul Mukit Rubel (Vice-President), Zihadur Rahman Zihad (Joint-General Secretary), Rakibul Islam (Organising Secretary), Md Mushfiqur Rahman (Finance Secretary) and the Executive Members are: Mohammad Mainuddin Tarek, Md Anwar Hossain,Abdul Gafur Aranna.
Masud Parvez, a senior member of the organisation, served as the Chief Election Commissioner in the election. Besides, BSJC Founding President Monowar Haque, Founding Member Nasimul Hasan Dodul and Senior Member Md. Badrul Alam Chowdhury were the commissioners in the four-member election commission.
