Azerbaijan Women’s Football team in the city

Azerbaijan Women’s Football team arrived in the city on Tuesday morning to take part in the Tri-Nation Football series at the National Stadium in Dhaka. The other two teams of the Tri-Nation series are: Hosts Bangladesh Women’s Football team and Malaysia Women’s Football team. Bangladesh women, Azerbaijan women and Malaysia women will face each other in the single league basis Tri-Nation series.

Bangladesh Women’s Football team will play for the first time Azerbaijan Women’s Football team. Azerbaijan Women’s Football team are from Europe. Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has arranged the Tri-Nation series ahead of AFC Women’s Asian Cup final round. Bangladesh Women’s Football team created history after reaching the final round of AFC Women’s Asian Cup. The final round of AFC Women’s Asian Cup will be held in March of 2026 in Australia.

After 12 years, Bangladesh Women’s Football team are going to play International matches at the National Stadium in Dhaka. Earlier, Bangladesh Women’s Football team played against Philippines Women’s Football team in a match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers here in 2013.
The three teams (Bangladesh Women’s Football team, Azerbaijan Women’s Football team and Malaysia Women’s Football team) were scheduled to take part in their respective practice sessions at the National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.
