Azad Khan elected mayor unopposed in Bhangura municipality by-election

Md. Azad Khan has been elected unopposed as the mayor in the by-election of Bhangura Municipality in Pabna. This information was announced through a public notice issued on Monday, June 10, signed by Returning Officer and District Election Officer Md. Mahbubur Rahman.
The notice stated that since Md. Azad Khan was the only legally nominated candidate in the by-election for the mayoral post, he was declared elected unopposed as per Rule 21 of the Local Government (Municipal) Election Rules, 2010.
The mayoral position became vacant after the resignation of Golam Hasnain Rasel, who stepped down to run for the post of upazila chairman.
