Ayub Bachchu Museum will be built in Moghbazar of the capital under the initiative of Ayub Bachchu Foundation.
The museum named ‘Ayub Bachchu Museum and Cultural Hub’ will be spread over an area of 10 kathas. Various memories of the artiste’s personal and musical life will be preserved in this museum.
Ferdous Akhter Chandana, wife of foundation president Ayub Bachchu, said that the implementation of this project is progressing, but it needs sponsorship.
Abdullah Al Masud, the foundation’s secretary and a long-time companion of the late Bachchu, said that the museum will house various items associated with the artiste’s memories, including the guitar, T-shirt, hat, cap, ring, sunglasses used by Ayub Bachchu.
There will be a recording studio modeled after AB Kitchen. Music lovers will have the opportunity to get directly acquainted with Bachchu’s life and music style in this museum.
In addition, according to the plan, there will be a musical cafe, auditorium and open studio for musicians.
The Ayub Bachchu Foundation said that each section of the museum will tell the story of Ayub Bachchu’s artistic journey.
Bachchu’s arrival in Dhaka from Chattogram, the rise of the LRB band, and the opportunity to enjoy Ayub Bachchu’s various popular songs and concerts.
Abdullah Al Masud said, “Initiatives are also being taken so that visitors can experience Ayub Bachchu’s concert here in virtual reality.
However, government and private cooperation is needed to realise this grand dream.
We want the people of the country to support this initiative. Our hope is that this museum will not only be a place to preserve memories, but also become a center of cultural inspiration.”
