Popular actress and presenter Aynun Nahar Putul became a mother on December 24 last year. Her daughter’s name is Rajkonnya Meghboti.
During Putul’s pregnancy, she spent a lot of time in the hospital and at home caring for her mother Nurunnahar Kabir’s illness. That’s why Aynun Putul hasn’t been able to devote even a little time to her own professional work for the past year. Now the situation is somewhat normal overall. So, she is slowly returning to work again.
Putul has been presenting on Boishakhi TV for a long time.
She has garnered much praise for hosting programmes like agriculture related programmes, ‘Shuvo Sokal’, and ‘Golden Song’.
She has also been hosting the same TV channel’s musical programme, ‘Boishakhi Folk Programme’, for the past several years. She returned to work through this programme after a year. Meanwhile, this former student of the Drama and Dramatics Department of Jahangirnagar University completed her M.Phil after completing her Honours and Master’s degrees.
Now she is doing her PhD. Putul’s PhD topic is – “Women in Liberation War-based Films: In the Context of Education and Social Reality.”
After starting her PhD, Putul’s initial supervisor was late Prof Dr Afsar Ahmed. Now she is doing her PhD under the supervision of Assistant Prof Dr Aminul Islam Durjoy.
Aynun Putul started her acting career by performing on stage for the ‘Moni Mela Khelaghor’ in Jamalpur. After that, she performed on stage for Jamalpur Theatre. Now she is performing on stage for Arshinagar Theatre. She has acted once in the play ‘Sei Raate Purnima Chhilo’ for this group. However, she has repeatedly impressed the audience by playing the role of ‘Radha’ in about 40 shows in the play ‘Rahu Chondaler Har’ of this group.
Putul made her acting debut in the TV drama ‘Ghater Kotha’ directed by Rahman Palash in 2006. After that, she acted in many more dramas.
She has acted in movies ‘Ghetuputro Komola,’ ‘Brihonnola’, ‘Mission Extreme’, ‘Bildakini’ and most recently ‘Saatao’.
Aynun Putul told this correspondent, “My elder brother Humayun Kabir, the person who inspired and encouraged me the most to study drama at university after completing my school and college life. He is now working as the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. He is my role model in life, he is my guide. And after a hundred battles, by the infinite mercy of Allah, since my mother is now somewhat healthy, I will somehow finish my PhD, Allah’s willing. And I love acting the most. I’m at my best when I’m in front of the camera.”
