This attack on Faizul Karim, Mayoral candidate of “Hatpakha symbol” in Barisal City Corporation election is the threat on the country’s democracy and also the democratic people.
Jatiya Party’s main patron and Opposition Leaderin Parliament Raushan Ershad said in a statement Tuesday protesting the attack on Faizul Karim.
She also said that the attack on the mayoral candidate in Barishal City Corporation Mufti Syed Fayzul Karim of Islami Andolon Bangladesh will disrupt the democratic process of the country.
Raushan Ershad strongly condemned the attack and protested saying that all the miscreants attacked on Faizul Karim should be prosecuted immediately through proper investigation.
The opposition leader also said that when all parties and people are demanding for holding a free fair and impartial elections both local and national, but this barbaric attack will raise question for holding the fair elections.
The candidate was injured after he was attacked at 12 noon during the voting in Barishal City Corporation today which is sad and unpredictable. “Hatpakha” voters were not allowed to enter in Ward No. 22.
