Jalalabad thana Police here on Friday arrested one parson for attacking on former Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran’s car.
The arrestee was identified as Siraj Khan, 40, uncle of Afsar Khan, former Ward-8 Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) president. Siraj was also a charge sheeted accused of this case.
Sources said police conducted a drive at Afsar Khan’s residence in the city’s Pathantula area at around 3:00am and held the arrestee. Office-in-Charge of Jalalabad Police Station Akter Hossain confirmed the matter adding that the arrestee would be sent to jail soon.
