Asif Akbar is now doubly busy with music and cricket. A few days ago, he returned to the country after completing a two-month music tour in the United States.
Immediately after returning, he rushed to fulfill his duties on the cricket field.
In the meantime, Asif said that he wants to start a music school for new musicians.
Asif wants to set up a music school in the BFDC complex under construction in Tejgaon. He wants to build the school on the model of music schools in the United States.
So, during his visit to the USA this time, he visited various schools. He has taken pictures and videos of those schools.
Asif Akbar said, “I have always sung with new artistes. It is my habit to work with young people.
There are many talented boys and girls in our country, but due to lack of opportunities, they are not able to do good work.
There are no good, world-class music schools in the country for those who want to learn music. So, I want to start a music school in the new complex that is being built in BFDC. I was thinking about the matter for a long time.
This time, I went on a tour of USA and brought pictures and videos of various music schools. I will build this school on the model of those schools. We have gaps in many things; it is time to fill them up.”
“Once I used to play cricket, but new responsibilities have come to my shoulders regarding cricket. I have already started working on that.
The achievements I have as a vocalist have created a kind of responsibility, and I want to fulfill that responsibility properly. So, this is my plan for the newcomers, he also said.
Asif will also work with youth in cricket. He has been given the responsibility of the age-based team by the Bangladesh Cricket Board from where the future leaders of the Bangladesh cricket team will emerge.
He has already submitted his work plan to the board. Asif said, “I have about 10 songs in the works. I haven’t done them because I was out of the country.
I have returned home after a music tour of about two months. Now I have started getting busy with cricket again. I will be busy; I have to move forward with everything. I will do the songs in between.
Apart from that, I don’t do songs for all the channels and companies like before. If I have good lyrics and melodies, I produce them myself. I want to make good songs for myself, for my fans and listeners.”
