Asif Akbar is the prince of Bengali music. He has been dominating Bengali music for more than two decades. Throughout his long career, Asif has always been seen collaborating with new artistes.
Many female artistes have become big stars of music by singing duets with him. In that vein, Asif has now teamed up with another new artiste. The name of this star in the music sky is Jyoti.
Jyoti, a girl from Cumilla, is a winner of the ‘Dhruba Music Aamar Gaan’ competition. Their new song is titled ‘Tumi Shudhu Tomar e Moto’. The song is composed by Nazir Mahmud, based on Mehdi Hasan Limon’s poetry. Mushfique Litu arranged music of the song. Tarek Zaman performed as a model alongside Jyoti in Yamin Elan’s video.
Asif Akbar was also present in the video of the song. Regarding talking about this new musician and song, Asif Akbar told this correspondent, “Jyoti is like my daughter from Cumilla. I met her from there. She is incredibly talented. She is good at dancing, singing and acting at the same time. Her beautiful singing fascinates me.
I believe that one day she will be a shining star in the sky of Bengali music.” Jyoti is very proud to be able to sing with Asif Akbar. She shared her feelings by this way, “As a newcomer, it is a dream and a blessing for me to be able to sing such wonderful songs with the Prince of Bengali music, Asif Akbar.
