Veteran actor, politician and cultural activist Asaduzzaman Noor, who became a legend by playing the role of Baker Bhai in popular drama serial titled Kothao Keo Nei, has returned to big screen after 15 years with a new full-length government granted movie titled Chander Amabasya. The story and the screenplay are based on Syed Waliullah’s novel Chander Amabasya (Night of No Moon), the movie has been directed by National Film Award winning director Zahidur Rahim Anjan, said a press release.
The director of the movie confirmed the matter to the media. However, he didn’t want to disclose anything regarding this movie.
He said that the details of the movie will be announced in a few days. August 15 is the 100th birth anniversary of the novelist Syed Waliullah and they are planning to arrange a big event in this regard. The shooting of the movie took place at some locations in Manikganj and Munshiganj. Dubbing and sound work of the movie are currently underway. Apart from Asaduzzaman Noor, the cast also includes Iresh Zaker, Tanay, Deepanwita Martin, Shahnaz Sumi and others.
Recently, Asaduzzaman Noor was seen in Chorki’s web series titled Don’t Write Me. The fifth story of anthology series titled Unoloukik written by Shibabrata Barman and directed by Robiul Alam Robi. Individual episodes explore the psychoanalytic journey of the human mind.
