Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS, joined Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC as the Chief Operating Officer on 30 June 2025.
Asadur Rahman joined the Dhaka Stock Exchange on 15 April 2010 as an Assistant General Manager. He was later promoted to Deputy General Manager on 22 April 2013 and served as General Manager and Company Secretary from 27 April 2017 to 29 June 2025, says a press release said.
During this time, he served as the Head of several divisions, including the Board and Corporate Affairs Division, TREC Affairs Division, Legal Affairs Division, Public Relations and Publications Division, and International Affairs Division. Additionally, from June 2019 to January 2020, he successfully led the Market Development Division, overseeing the Product and Market Development, SME and OTC Division, Research and Information Division, and Market Operations (MOPS) Division.
Rahman was the Member Secretary of the DSE Demutualization Implementation Committee and played an active role as a core team member of the DSE’s NASDAQ and FlexTrade new system projects. He was also a key member of the core team involved in obtaining full membership of the WFE (World Federation of Exchanges), selecting the strategic investor for the DSE, and including Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchanges as strategic investors in the DSE.
As a representative of Dhaka Stock Exchange, Mr. Rahman has participated in meetings, seminars, and conferences with various stock exchanges and institutions around the world, including the Philippine Stock Exchange, Singapore Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Securities and Exchange Board of India, National Stock Exchange of India, Bombay Stock Exchange, Maldives Stock Exchange, and the German Stock Exchange.
He is also an alumnus of the IVLP (International Visitor Leadership Program).
