Artisan Ceramics earns global recognition Mamunur Rashid

M. Mamunur Rashid is a promising corporate leader in ceramic industry sector of Bangladesh. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Artisan Ceramics Limited.
The CEO has achieved benevolence as a praiseworthy, lively, attractive and a self-effacing personality in the industry.
Talking with The New Nation in an exclusive interview, M. Mamunur Rashid shared the issues relating to problems and potentials of Ceramic Industries in the country.
The CEO said ceramic industries of Bangladesh has already attained its goodwill as it is producing and exporting standard quality tableware and other products to the global markets.
He said day by day the market of the tableware sector especially the ceramics industry is being expand across the world.
There is a wide range scope of earning billions of foreign currencies through exporting ceramics products.
There are potentials of dominating global tableware markets through innovative designs.
“There are widespread opportunities of dominating the world’s tableware markets with innovative designed,” the CEO said.
“In these visions, the mission of the Artisan Ceramics is to bring exceptional and artistic designed tableware to provide our clients in different countries as their desired ones.”
“We are promised to provide all new and latest designed ceramic products to our customers,” M Mamunur Rashid said.
“The Artisan Ceramics Limited has assured its consumers especially the foreign customers that at first our company has formulated to establish all compliances in our factory,” the CEO said.
The ceramic products are being produced in a safe environment. The company is ensuring safety of workers at its every stage.
The former name of the Artisan Ceramics Limited was James Finley UK’s Tea and Land company (Bangladesh Ltd). It is now working as an associate company of Bharara (Sylhet) Tea Company Ltd.
Since established in 2005 the Artisan Ceramics Ltd has been in uninterrupted operation providing world class products with high quality porcelains.
Remembering the inception of the company, Mamunur Rashid said that the ceramic plants of his company were established within a period of nine months which was a record low time. Besides, it has started productions within six months after establishing the plant with high quality tableware and achieved popularity among the customers shortly after arriving in markets.
Producing items as per the choices of the customers is the sole target of the Artisan. The designers of the Artisan Ceramics are working to produce items as per the demands and trends of the world market with reasonable lower prices. M. Mamunur Rashid said that the Artisan Ceramics have outlined the importance to maintain the healthier and hygienic working environment sincerely.
It also focuses on bringing varieties in the tableware, with maintaining standard and quality at every stages of the production.
The company also committed to upholding social responsibilities.
“Artisan Ceramics tableware is now increasing beauty of palace of the British monarch as its daily usable wares. It is also a matter of dignity for Bangladesh,” said Mamunur Rashid.
The CEO said Artisan Ceramics is exporting tableware to the USA, UK, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Netherlands, Brazil, Chili, Argentina, Mexico, Malaysia, Australia, India and several other countries regularly.
Besides, there are enormous demands of its products in the domestic market also.
About 150 registered dealers are engaged in selling and marketing of Artisans items persistently.
Mamunur Rashid said that there are numbers of five, four and three star hotels are in operations as the tourism and hospitality sector are also booming in the country.
As a result demands for tableware are also increasing, he added.
He said the business of Artisan grew fast under the charismatic leadership of its Chairman Nader Khan and Managing Director A.Q.I. Chowdhury Obiy.
He said there are about one thousand employees are working in Artisan Ceramics.
The CEO said interrupted gas supplying is the major problem of the ceramic sector.
“If the government give us uninterrupted gas supply then the ceramic industries can export enormous amount of tableware abroad,” he said.
Besides, the ceramic industries are needed a specialised economic zone for further growing.
Replying to a query, Mamunur Rashid said about five lakh employees are now working in the ceramic sector in the country as a fast growing sector contributing enough to the national economy.
