Nachiketa Chakraborty, a popular artiste of West Bengal, is coming to Dhaka for a year.
He will participate in two concerts in Dhaka this month.
He will sing at Hatirjheel in Dhaka on July 12. Bangladesh’s Shayan Chowdhury Arnab, Armeen Musa and Ahmed Hasan Sunny will sing with him. This concert organized by Amphitheatre in Hatirjeel is named ‘Dhaka Melancholy’.

The organisers informed that they want to present Dhaka residents with a beautiful musical evening. Forgetting the tiredness of the busy city, the audience can drown in the sea of music.
Keeping that in mind, this line-up has been arranged.
The concert will start at 4:00pm. The price of the ticket has been fixed at Tk 2 thousand.
Ahmed Hasan Sunny sang on the same stage with Anjan Dutt last February. This will be the first time to sing with Nachiketa.
While talking in this regard, Sunny told this correspondent, “Nachiketa’s songs are the most listened to in my life. Everyone in my family is his fan. This is the first time I will sing with an artiste like him on the same stage. A kind of tension is working itself out. After Anjan Dutt, I was fortunate to sing with Nachiketa on the same stage.”
Regarding organising a concert with artistes of the two countries, Sunny also said, “Cultural exchange is a good thing. The audience can also listen to the songs of artistes of two countries on the same stage. It would be better if the participation of Bangladeshi artistes increases in the concert of India.”
Nachiketa presented a solo concert in Dhaka last year on the completion of 30 years of his musical life. The event titled ‘Nachiketa Live in Dhaka’ in Krishibid Institution Auditorium received a good response.
Nachiketa will sing in a solo concert at the same venue on July 26. Joy Shahriar will be with Nachiketa in the concert organised by Ajob Karkhana.
