Army holds free medical camp in Jaintapur on the occasion of July Rebirth

A one-day special medical service programme was held under the management of the 17th Infantry Division of the Bangladesh Army and the 91st Field.

More than 500 people received free medical services and medicines in the medical campaign that ran from 10 am to 4 pm at M Ahmed Public High School in Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet district on Monday (July 28).

This programme was organized as part of the ‘July Rejuvenation Program-2025’ under the guidance of GOC, 17th Infantry Division Major General Ridwanur Rahman.
Through this humanitarian initiative, primary medical care is ensured for the poor and needy population, women and maternity patients and children. At the same time, free medicines are provided. This program was inspected by Colonel Saida Nazrina (ADMS 17 Provisional Division). CO 91 Field Ambulance Lt. Col. Rubaiyat Ismat Avik was present at all times in the implementation of the campaign.

People of all ages, including the elderly and children, women, and others, have received treatment. Patients are satisfied with the free treatment, medicines, and health advice provided by this exceptional initiative of the army. Patient Asia Begum, who came to seek the service, said, “I have not been able to get treatment for many days. Today, I received good treatment and medicines from this army camp.”

Four specialist doctors from different departments provided medical services at this day-long free medical camp.

Such initiatives by the army have been praised by the general public, and locals believe that if such medical services are provided regularly, it will be easier for rural and marginalized communities to receive medical care.
