Arms, ammos recovered, one held in C’nawabganj

One person was arrested and arms and ammunitions were recovered from his possession at Dhaka Bus Stand area in the town on Saturday night. The arrested person was identified as Mizanur Rahman, 24, son of Md. Malek of Telkupi Lambapara Munnatola village under Binodpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district.
Sub-inspector Saiful Sarker of Chapainawabganj sadar thana said, acting on a tip off, a team of police led by officer in charge of the sadar thana Jasim Uddin raided the bus stand area, held the aforesaid person and after searching his body they recovered a pistol, two magazines and four rounds of bullet at around 11-30 pm.
An arms case was recorded with the police station in this connection.
