Entertainment Report :
Bangladesh’s Jaya Ahsan has been working regularly in Tollywood for over a decade, competing with her country.
Actor Arifin Shuvoo wants to walk that path. Shuvoo is also looking for an address to stay there for regular work.
The actor himself said this.
In an interview given to a news outlet, Shuvoo also said that Tollywood’s directors are showing interest in working with him. So, he wants to take the opportunity to establish himself there.
Arifin Shuvoo has been largely in the background since the political landscape changed last year.
When he was being criticised for his silence during the students’ movement, Shuvoo suddenly announced his divorce.
After the political climate changed, there was talk of canceling Shuvoo’s government plot. But the actor still remained silent.
Although there was no news of Shuvoo’s new work in the country, at that time he participated in the shooting of a series called ‘Jazz City’ by Soumik Sen of Kolkata.
The actor has decided to become a regular in West Bengal while working on this series.
Shuvoo is also in Kolkata now. In an interview with a news outlet there, he said, “I’ve been coming to Kolkata for a long time to work on Soumik Sen’s series ‘Jazz City’. It seems like people here are interested in me. So, I want to explore myself here too.”
To work regularly in Tollywood, he has to live there – Shuvoo knows this very well.
In this regard, the actor said, “That’s what I’m trying to do. The way Jaya Ahsan and Chanchal Chowdhury are working in two countries, I want the same.”
It is heard that Shuvoo is also looking for an address to stay in West Bengal.
However, he didn’t give any direct answer in this regard.
Turning around a little, he said, “My career didn’t go as planned. I started with modelling, then did everything from television, radio, and movies.
While doing them, I realised that nothing will happen by planning, at least in my case.”
Arifin Shuvoo became the centre of attention for his portrayal of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the movie ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’. But due to the mass uprising, it seems like time has become dark for him in that movie.
However, Shuvoo is also reluctant to accept this. In this context, he said, “As with all the uprisings that have taken place in the world so far, there have been some collateral damage. You were walking peacefully through the park, but suddenly you became the victim of an incident.
There’s nothing to do about it. I’m a consciously apolitical person. I don’t do anything except acting. No business, no back-up. If I were really in trouble, I wouldn’t be able to give an interview in this cafe in Kolkata.”
Shuvoo also says about his works, “My movie ‘Neel Chakra’ will be released soon. After that, there are ‘Noor’, ‘Thikana Bangladesh’, and ‘Lahu’.
I have always focused on two things: becoming the character I’m given, and the audience’s reaction to my work. Give me the role of the stupidest person in the world, and I will destroy myself there. But in reality, I’m not that stupid. I hope I made everything clear.”
In addition to his career and politics, Arifin Shuvoo also talked about his divorce.
Shuvoo said in this regard, “Relationship breakups are not the first time in the world. Much worse things are happening all the time, somewhere.
Being in the acting world, we get interesting news about what else can be done. But outside discussions don’t affect me. People are very judgmental now. My life doesn’t depend on what others say.”
