Leaders of Association of Non-Government Universities of Bangladesh (ANUB) urged government to form the ‘Accreditation Council’ as early as possible. They urged this while addressing at a get together program of the chairmen of Non-Government Universities of Bangladesh held on Thursday at the Radisson blue water garden hotel organized by ANUB, says a press release.
Chairman of the Association, Sheikh Kabir Hossain welcomed the chairman in the programme while Benajir Ahmed, Secretary of the association highlighted various facts of the association and Md. Sabur Khan; EC member of ANUB gave the vote of thanks.
Chairmen of the different universities also participated in the brief discussion and made consensus to keep the quality of higher education in the universities to contribute for the developments in this sector for ensuring the quality of higher education towards the growth and overall enrichment of the country.
Recent observations by UGC and Education Ministry for some universities also discussed and all members agreed to comply with the requirement of UGC and urge Government to implement the Accreditation Council as early as possible. As per recommendation of TIB all participants agreed to strengthen ANUB so that ANUB can work for better contributions in the higher education sector through uplifting its quality and give more emphasis on research. 50 Chairman of different universities attended the get together Program.
