The family of Shaheed Mohammad Pabel Ahmed Kamrul has received Tk 1 lakh grant from the Sylhet City Corporation for the anti-discrimination protest.
Following the application of Shaheed Mohammad Pabel Ahmed Kamrul’s brother Piplu Ahmed, Sylhet City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Rezai Rafin Sarkar handed over a check of Tk 1 lakh to the family members on Thursday afternoon.
Shaheed Mohammad Pabel Ahmed Kamrul’s father Rafiq Uddin and brother Piplu Ahmed accepted the check. Sylhet City Corporation Secretary Md. Ashiq Noor was present at the time.
In the application, Piplu Ahmed said that their home is in Uttar Kanishail village of Golapganj, Dhaka South. They live in the North Kazirbazar area. His brother was martyred next to the railing of Ali Amjad’s clock tower near the Queen Bridge in Sylhet city during the mass uprising of anti-discrimination students. 8 of their family members.
